Open Glowward. Tap 'Scan Spike Sticker'. The torch fires on automatically — low light reads are unreliable, so the app forces it. Hold your sticker to the camera viewfinder.

Read the result
The colour overlay reads the sticker reaction. The result is either ALARM or UNCERTAIN. There is no safe result. Either response is your signal to stop and act.

Alert your Squad
Tap Emergency. Every member of your Squad receives an alert at the same moment, with your live GPS location. No need to type a message. They know, and they know where you are.
Squad members receive a push notification with a live location link.

Glowward detects your country and dials the correct emergency number — 112 in the Netherlands, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US. No guessing which number while panicking in a foreign city.

Hold Until Safe
If you can't call, activate Hold Until Safe. The timer runs silently. If you don't check in, your Squad is alerted automatically. Stealth mode keeps the screen dark so nobody around you sees what you're doing.

Does Glowward ever show a 'safe' result?
No. Glowward only shows ALARM or UNCERTAIN. A test sticker can react to specific substances, but it cannot confirm the absence of every possible drug or poison. Showing 'safe' would be a false claim. When in doubt, do not drink it.
Which spike-sticker kits does the scanner work with?
Glowward works with colourimetric spike-sticker kits that produce a visible colour change — including kits that detect GHB, ketamine, and MDMA. The torch is forced on for every scan because ambient light in dark venues makes colour readings unreliable.
How does Glowward know which emergency number to call?
The app detects your current location and maps it to the correct emergency number for that country — 112 in the Netherlands and most of Europe, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US, and so on. You do not need to know the local number.
What happens if I miss my check-in timer?
If the Hold Until Safe timer expires without a check-in, your Squad receives an alert with your last known GPS location. No action required from you — the alert fires automatically.
Can my Squad see my location even when I am not in panic mode?
Only when you choose to share it. Location sharing is triggered explicitly — by the panic button, or by a check-in timer that expires. Glowward does not track you passively.
Is Glowward a medical device?
No. Glowward is a visual reading aid paired with a communication and safety toolkit. It is not a forensic detection device and makes no medical claims. Always call emergency services or go to a medical professional if you suspect drink spiking.
Does Glowward work outside the Netherlands?
Yes. The emergency routing works internationally, and the Squad alerts and panic features work wherever there is a mobile data connection.
